An extranet is the network that is administered by a single organization but supports access to an external network. The concept of the internetwork is of significance to enterprise networks. An internetwork refers to the connection of multiple computer networks through a common routing technology. The largest example of an internetwork is the Internet. Network traffic is carried out through network paths by routing. It is done for packet switched networks and circuit switching networks.
